Graphite and colored pencil. Haven’t thought of a title for it yet….I originally wanted to do this as a tea painting with different colored teas to contrast such a harsh message with a soft and subtle medium. Unfortunately when I was testing it out, the tea wasn’t staining dark enough for any real effect. I guess I’ll just have to experiment with it some more.

This was inspired by a pretty deep and depressing talk I had with a friend. I came to the conclusion that there are people who have it much worse off than us so we should be thankful for our situation, even if it was tough to deal with.
